MPV 2 WD

Model of the car:MPV 2 WD
General comments:We bought this 1992 MPV van in May of 96 for $14,000 Canadian after our Caravan was stolen on my first Mother's Day!. It was a great van, very reliable until

What things have gone wrong with the car:Only one back window was designed to open
up making it an oven in the summer. (The new
MPV's now have roll down windows - a brilliant idea, finally!!)The rear
wheel drive made winter driving scary.(I recomend 4X4)
Many of the controls for the rear wiper, cruise and rear
heat were obstructed by the steering wheel.
The side flip door sucks especially when you have kids.
My kids dented many car doors because of the big flip out door.
The cup holders (located on the side of the front passenger's seat)
are a bad design, they are not deep enough.
This caused alot of spilled coffee and pop mess!
The oil dipstick and tranny fluid are very hard to get at.
The MPV has a plate in the doors that makes it VERY hard
to jimmy the doors open, making it a hard van to steal!
Even the CAA (AAA) guys had a hard time
opening our door(after my hubby locked the keys in the van).
If you buy an used MPV, beware that they are
one of the MOST EXPENSIVE van to repair!!
Previous car:We had a Caravan that was stolen and later burned to the ground, the 9 months that we had it, we had to replace the water pump. The quad seats were nice and the sliding door was a breeze to get
